I’ve been pretty silent this week with what happened this week. I wasn’t sure I should be all hey, guess what? We had to get a new water pump and a water tank for our house after owing it for just two weeks (true story!) when there were awful tragedies going on in the world (Boston, Texas).
I didn’t know anyone personally who ran Boston, but I follow these three ladies blogs (and on twitter) Skinny Runner, Dani and Colleen and I was so happy that they were alright. But, I know not everyone was so lucky. I heard about it on twitter first and I was horrified. When I got home and saw the footage, I broke down and cried. As a runner, I was devastated. I couldn’t believe someone would do something like that. WHY?! Will we ever know? Words cannot express how I even feel.
I wanted to keep silent for most of the week because I thought that was a good thing. That was my way of showing my support.
I ran 3 miles on Wednesday night for Boston. It wasn’t much, but it was something. And yes, it looks like I’m running at night for awhile until things get normal for us with the move. I hope to post more about that over the next few days.
The official big move is tomorrow. I can’t wait.
