2013-07-06 14.10.08It was really too hot to do anything. I think I must have sweat off 20 pounds in the 4 hours we sat outside. No joke. We had a good time yesterday and I had a piece of cake that did not make me want to binge after.

I have not binged since March 30th. That’s over 3 months. I’m so proud of that. The proudest of anything I have ever done and that is saying a lot.

I did another 30 minute run and 30 minute weight session this morning. We slept in today. I was so beat from the heat last night. I went to bed around 11pm and didn’t get out of bed until 10am. Exhausted.

I really love having my home gym. It’s so awesome. Need to keep at it.

Yesterday on the way home I saw they are opening a Hot Yoga place right near my work. Hmmmm. I might have to try that out.

Happy Saturday

Yesterday was great. It was so nice to finally get out of the house and do SOMETHING! Of course I was exhausted by the time we got home, but it was still nice.

My appetite is coming back slowly. I eat when I feel like it, but it isn’t always the best things. I’m really not too worried about it at the moment. I was shopping for an outfit to wear today for my BIL’s Jack and Jill party and had to go back out and get a smaller size at the store. I guess that’s a plus, right? I’m still not a size 8 anymore, but it was not something I expected to happen.

We ended up seeing the movie “World War Z” with Brad Pitt last night. It was pretty good. It had a few creepy, scary moments. Not what I expected that is for sure. Not your typical zombie movie either.

Of course no trip out is complete without Target. I simply love that store so much. We didn’t spend too much there for once which was odd. And of course, Home Depot. It seems we are either there or Lowe’s now since we bought the house. Not complaining. I love our house.

I was able to get in a pretty awesome workout this morning. I did a 30 minute run (not keeping track of my miles right now) and 30 minutes of weights. Felt really good, too. I needed it after being sick for a week.

I’m bummed my vacation is almost over and didn’t go as planned, but I am looking forward to getting back to work and back on schedule with everything.

Finally feeling like me again

Today is the first day of my vacation that I finally feel like myself again. It also happens to be Friday, which means I go back to work in 3 days. So, there goes my vacation.

I haven’t been able to workout at all. I did workout on Saturday and Wednesday, but that’s it. Wednesday I also had to go out and pick up a few things for the house (groceries, cat food) and I was exhausted. I came home and slept for 3 hours. I knew that I still wasn’t feeling 100% because I still didn’t have an appetite. I haven’t stepped on the scale because right now that isn’t a priority, I’ve been sick. And I haven’t eaten the best food when I have eaten anything at all.

Today I finally feel normal. I want to get out of the house and DO things. Hubby is off from work, too. I really need a haircut. And we need to pick up a gift for my BIL Jack and Jill party tomorrow.  It will be good to get out of the house. Maybe we’ll get lunch somewhere.

Did I mention my appetite came back this morning? I am starving.

I figure I can back to the workout thing starting tomorrow. I needed to give my body the rest it needed while I was sick. And having a fever of 103 for a couple of days, I knew I was about to jump on the treadmill and run 3 miles.

Did anyone else watch “Hemlock Grove” on Netflix? It was so good!!! I’m mad we finished all 13 episodes already though. I need season 2 to get here now!! I might have to read the book to hold me over until that gets here.

We didn’t do too much for the 4th. Hubby grilled. That’s about it. I did a little cleaning. My sister and her boyfriend came by.  Nothing too exciting.

Welcome to July

Happy July 1st! Happy Canada Day! And Happy first official day of my vacation!! I also happen to be sick. I don’t even know what is going on. I woke up Saturday morning with some serious stomach issues and ended up dry heaving into the garbage can in the bathroom (I’m sorry, TMI). I haven’t felt like myself since. I had so many plans for this week and so far I haven’t been able to do much. I haven’t eaten too much either. It’s a real downer.  I’m freezing right now and ready to put on a sweatshirt. I wish I was kidding, but I’m not.

On a happier note, the husband finally set up my “gym” in the finished basement. I love it. I’ve only used it twice so far, but it’s so cool to have my own place to workout that isn’t a cold garage or a hot garage like when we lived in the apartment.  I have my trusty treadmill, my Bowflex, my free weights, my Kettlebells, my Medicine Balls and few other odds and ends, but I want to add more stuff. I think some Plyo Boxes would be cool. In the future maybe a Stepper would be cool. I do miss that at at gym since they got rid of them. Hopefully I’ll feel better tomorrow and can get back to working out.

I was also supposed to start Truly Committed with Jess today. I am still going to do it, but I just didn’t get the chance to workout. Damn you, body. Get over this bug and move on!!
