I ran 3.55 miles this morning. My legs were super, heavy. The whole time I keep thinking “My legs are heavy, my legs are heavy” but I managed to finish without dying. That’s a plus, right?
I forgot to mention that on Monday I won tickets to go see Miranda Lambert off my favorite radio station, Country 92.5.
I was pretty excited!! Of course I texted my sister right away and told her we were going to see Miranda (and Dierks, too!!). She’s the only one I would want to bring with me. We’re going to see Keith Urban in November and as soon as the Blake Shelton tickets go on sale I’m going to buying a couple of those for us, too.
Have you ever won anything off the radio? What?
What was the last concert you went to? Any coming up?
Ran 3.5 miles today. I was going to do some weights after, but I found that I only have 8, 10, and 15 pound weights. They are a little too heavy for me right now. I need to pick up some 5 or 6 pound weights sometime this weekend. The Bowflex is out of commission until we move into the house.
I am not a fan of packing. If I could, I would pay someone to pack up all my stuff. I don’t like it. I understand that it’s worth it and we’re moving int our house (OUR HOUSE!) but it’s so time consuming. I found some cute pictures of the husband and I from 2002-2004. I was super
skinny lean in some of them. I do miss those days, but right now I’m just learning to love myself and take care of myself the right way.
I’ve divorced my scale. I’m not letting it rule my world anymore and I feel so free because of it. When we move into the house I’m going to put into a closest and leave it there. I’m going to go on how my clothes fit and how I feel. That’s that.
Do you have a scale? Do you weigh yourself?
When was the last time you moved?
Hope on over to visit Stuft Mama. She’s giving away some Buffalo Jerky. Don’t worry, I’m going to win it, but you can try and win, too.
Our kitchen table was delivered to the house today. I’m so excited. It looks so amazing.
I can’t wait be able to have people over and use it. We were also able to show the in-laws the house for the first time. They seemed to really like it and were really impressed with all the land we have. I also cannot wait to get to working on our yard. It’s a mess. I was pulling leaves out of the flower bed. We have daffodils trying to come up.
The neighbors across the street (the ones with chickens) have two cute dogs and one is bark-less. He’s so sweet just sitting there with nothing coming out of his mouth. He tries though.
I ran 3 miles this morning. We attempted to do some packing and cleaning. I’m beat. We have time, but I don’t want to be rushing around. I have so many books. So.Many.Books. I could open a library. I’m trying to get rid of some on Paperback swap but so far only one is wanted.
I bought bread for the first time in a long tonight. I have issues with bread but I felt I could handle it. I wanted grilled cheese for dinner and of course, bread is needed. I’m hoping I don’t inhale the rest of it tonight. This not binging thing is going really well.
I wanted to recommend this post by Cely over at Running off the Reese’s. It’s pretty awesome.
What did you do today?
Is there a food you can’t trust yourself around?
I’m off work for the next four days. That means lots and lots of packing and cleaning and getting ready to move into the house. Yes, the closing was the 5th, but we have the apartment until the end of the month so we have PLENTY of time to get the house ready.
Did I mention my neighbors have chickens?
Chickens. It’s like I live on a farm or something. But, I quickly learned that chickens are GOOD to have around. They eat bugs. Like ticks, spiders, etc., etc. And that got us thinking maybe we want chickens? I mean, we have a huge yard. HUGE!! And I yesterday my coworker and I went to the Tractor Supply Company next to our office and look at what we saw?
Babies!! Are they not the cutest little chicks every?? Seriously. I want them all. They had ducks, too, equally as cute. The husband and I both had chickens growing up, but that was a very long time ago.
A very Happy Birthday to my sister, Ellen!!
Don’t be jealous of her footie pajamas’s. We were truly the classy ones in the neighborhood.
Again, I’m going to talk about how much I love the book Brain Over Binge. It’s amazing. I love it. And if you have a binge problem like me, I totally think you should check it out. No binge in a week and a half. It’s a miracle.
Friday was the big day! We signed (and signed) lots of paperwork and we now are the proud owners of a 3 bedroom Cape.
Here is part of my kitchen. I tell you this is my dream right here. And the ice maker in the refrigerator scared the HELL out of us on Saturday night. We didn’t know we had one until we heard it go off. Bonus!! We haven’t moved in yet, but we are working on it. We are going to try and paint at least the living room before the official move happens on the 20th. I still cannot believe this is ours. Pinch me. PLEASE!!
I lost 5 pounds this week. And I think part of it is because of the book I started reading thanks to Ann over at Twelve in Twelve. It’s called Brain over Binge and I just makes sense to me. If you are like me and you are a binge eater (and I have been for many, MANY years), you may want to pick this up. I haven’t binged since I started reading it last the 1st. Honestly, every time my mind starts to wonder, I start thinking about what I’ve been reading and I don’t even think about it anymore. All this time I’ve been thinking something was wrong with me and…anyway, just read the book. You’ll totally understand.
I’m so excited that Ann posted about the book because it speaks to me. It is me. I see myself in this book while reading it. It’s crazy!! I’ve tried for years to get over this eating
addiction disorder that I’ve had and I’ve hated myself for it.
I worked out 3 times last week and counted all my points and when I got full, I stopped eating. I didn’t binge, I didn’t overeat and I felt great all week. I was THRILLED to see a 5 pound loss and it just made me want to keep going. I worked out 3 times already this week and it’s only Monday.
It sure is.
